Brightlands Techruption AI Ideation Day

Brightlands Smart Services Campus

The intention is to fire up new topics in the AI field. In order to define the scope, Rudolf Muller conducted interviews with all Techruption partners to get your input on what topics would be strategically important to your organization. Then, BISS, CAROU, ZUYD, TNO and SCO used that input in a few workshops to identity four topics for further exploration with you.

The goal of this ideation session is to explain and refine these 4 topics with you, make them fit for your company needs, and translate them into use cases that will go into the Techruption innovation pipeline (ideation, explore, experiment, pre-pilot).

  1. Explainable AI: Human understandable explanations

Any professional should only trust a model that they truly understand. Open the black box. Ensure quality control, be accountable to the outside world and provide human understandable decision support. Join us at the Explainable AI session!

This workshop is specifically interesting for organizations that have/want AI based critical decision making processes where the reasoning behind the decision is of importance.

  1. Representation Learning on Graphs: How to do Deep Learning with Social Networks, with a case study on football’

In the description please add the following: graphs are pervasive structures in every field of science and business, being able to perform predictions and comparisons using these complex structures is becoming the next big thing in deep learning, in this talk we introduce the problem by showing an example on football teams.

  1. Responsible AI: Framework that can check for bias and fairness

AI that indicates East Asians are blinking when they are actually smiling, black people classified as gorillas, medical models that discriminate against women… It all happened in the recent years. Build frameworks to adhere to privacy, GDPR, ethics and trust. Don’t be a part of the next scandal, be responsible!

This session is interesting for any organization that performs analysis on sensitive data, especially when these analysis are operationalized.

  1. Recommender Systems: How does your playlist generate content?

Recommender systems are knowledge-based systems that predict content preferences based on users’ data. From content filtering based on user selection to observation and analysis of the user’s behavior, recommender systems now reach far beyond popular culture. Learn how they’re being applied in research and commercial industry.

The session is open for all parties active or interested in AI at Techruption. We aim to work with domain and technical experts from the companies and from research institutes, so please feel free to bring your knowledgeable colleagues.
